Costa Coffee is a British coffee chain owned by the Coca-Cola Group. It has been present in Poland since 2012 following the acquisition of the Coffee Heaven chain. Since February 2023, Costa Coffee coffee shops in Poland have been managed under a master franchise by Lagardère Travel Retail – a global retail operator with a network of nearly 5,000 stores in 42 countries and regions. Currently, Costa Coffee has 112 locations and is the largest coffee chain in Poland. Costa Coffee coffee shops are located in shopping centers and on the streets of large and medium-sized cities. Lagardère Travel Retail is significantly focusing on the development of Costa Coffee locations in the travel sector, including airports and train stations.

Investment level

• Estimated investment: minimum PLN 400,000 net
• Monthly franchise fee: 6% of net sales
• Upfront fee: £10,000, which includes:
  • Premises layout design (architectural, technological, electrical, and plumbing), excluding SAP, DSO, and sprinkler systems
  • Operations Manual
  • HACCP documentation and training
  • Introductory training for franchisees and employees, including accommodation – 28 days
  • Opening assistance – Regional Manager, Trainer, or designated Network employee (5 days)
